Warranty Terms & Conditions

(1) HITACHI (HONG KONG) LIMITED (hereinafter called "the company") has an option to repair the products, which become out of order under normal use, free of charge in the product guarantee period. The replaced defective parts shall become the company's property.
(2) The guarantee period of product is 2 years and compressor is 5 years. If the compressor is damaged during the 3rd to 5th year and replacement is necessary, only free on the compressor but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
(3) The guarantee service shall be rendered by the company only.
(4) This guarantee does not cover :
  a) Overhaul cleaning of dehumidifier.
  b) Power supply work.
  c) External parts such as cabinet, front panel, knob, handle, caster, and accessories such as remote controller, filter, water container, drain hose, batteries, etc.
  d) Rust removal, mold cleaning and external cleaning work for the product.
  e) The product installed at dangerous location for work.
  f) Dismantling and reinstallation of fitting or decoration such as air ducts, false ceilings, partitions, wall papers, etc.
  g) Defect caused by improper installation not done by the company.
  h) The product used for commercial or rental purposes.
  i) Defect caused by misuse, wrong power supply voltage, repair or modification by unauthorized personnel, accident, natural calamity or other events beyond the company's control.
  j) The product or this guarantee certificate of which the model number or serial number has been moved or altered.
(5) Extra fee will be charged for service in outlying islands.
(6) In outlying island, if work-shop repairing is needed, the customer will be responsible for transporting the product to and from our service centre, or a specified place in urban area. For customers in restricted areas or in boats, if service is required they will be responsible for transporting the product to and from a specified place out of closed area or on shore in urban area for rendering of service.
(7) Any other guarantee certificate than the one issued by the company that it will not be recognized by the company.
(8) The guarantee is valid only in Hong Kong and Macau.
(9) The customer shall inform the company immediately in case of change address or telephone number.
(10) The guarantee certificate is not transferable.
(11) The guarantee certificate and purchase invoice should be presented to our staff during each service.
(12) The guarantee card will be valid only after it has been properly filled in, returned to and received by the company within 14 days of original purchase.
(13) In case of any dispute, the company reserves the right for final judgement and decision.
